I"d like to thank to all of you who supported us with interesting cases and in particular to Dr. Fabrice Cuillier who, with his team :-) (see below), constantly keeps the highest score in sending of cases and images to us. Many thanks!

I am constantly amazed by how much everyone knows. So often I post a case with the feeling that there is no way this case can be solved on a few images, and yet hours later we get the correct answer. There are really bright and dedicated people doing ultrasound and it is great privilege to be a small catalyst in this effort!

Top first time winners - physicians

Philippe Deblieck, Germany, 22 solved cases

Philippe is a Belgian living in Germany together with his wife and three children. His philanthropic activities in the central and east Africa, where he worked as a tropical doctor, were followed by his specialization in gynecology. He likes walking in the wood and sailing with his family, but he found time to answer the cases and he managed to answer 22 of them correctly. Congratulations! Andrey has authored a textbook that he kindly send us. Andrey has been involved in prenatal diagnostic for 20 years. He teaches at the Medical University in Rostov. He likes to play billiard with his friends, but his biggest hobby is his 5-year-old daughter Dasha.  Julio Navarro, El Salvador, 19 solved cases

Julio is an Ob/Gyn physician who likes music, computers, ecology and is a big fan of ultrasound. He has a great wife and three sons (Andrea, Julio and Luigi). This year he managed to solve 19 of our cases. Alvaro Teran, Ecuador, 18 solved cases

Alvaro has been working as a general sonologist for 11 years and his experience resulted in 18 solved cases in our competiotion. He lives in the Litoral region of Ecuador and his wife and two kids (Christina and José Manuel) suport him in his chalenge.  He also likes to play football (soccer) and a national sport named Ecua-volley. Othman"s rich ob/gyn experience resulted in 14 solved cases this year. He works in Al – Hammadi Hospital, Riyadh, and he is a very proud father of his "happy" family (three daughters and son). Congratulations! Tibisay Del Valle Guerrero Chin Aleong, Spain, 14 solved cases

Tibisay is originally from Venezuela, but currently works in Spain. She is a failry new doctor since she finished her maternal-fetal medicine last year. Her husband says she is addicted to solving the cases... Hum... sounds like a common trait of all the winners! Tatiana Hkmelevskihk, Russia, 14 solved cases

This shy Russian woman has been engaged in ultrasound in their municipal hospital for 18 years. Her husband is an anesthesiologist and she has two kids (son and daughter). She likes travelling and growing roses. Of course her big hobby is prenatal diagnostic and ultrasound and this year she managed to solve 14 of 25 cases of the week. Congratulations Tatiana!

 

Top first time winners - sonographers

Anna has been a sonographer for 4 years and for the past two years, she has been working at the Perinatology Research Branch under Dr. Roberto Romero. She likes to travel with her husband and they are expecting their first baby (a boy!) in May. Anna answered 17 cases correctly which put her on the top of our list of winners. Congratulations! In spite of being the perpetual procrastinator, Kristin who sends her answers on late Wednesay J, obviously manages to get many correct: congratulations J. Kristin has been scanning for 3 years and she spent that time working in an Ob/Gyn clinic in Logan, Utah, but recently moved to the Denver area and she is now working as an applications specialist. She has been married for almost 3 years and she loves to travel with her husband. Olivia has been working as a sonographer for two years. She works for a seven doctor ob/gyn practice in Columbia. Her two daughters keep her busy, but she found a time for our cases and her effort resulted in 15 solved cases this year! Kim has been providing ultrasound services for 15 years and currently works for Lenox Hill Hospital, Manhattan, New York. She has increased the number of her solved cases dramatically and she took fifth place in her category this year. Her puppy dog Sherman is very proud of her successJ.

And the following are the super duper endurance winner. For the first time ever, someone solved ALL the cases and not only ONE person, but TWO. Very impressive!

Christa Faschingbauer, Germany, 25 solved cases !

Christa is a sonologist "par excellenceâ€! For her it is a "chronic disease†to be at the top of the winner's list in our competition. She answered all of the possible 25 cases of the week correctly, which is an amazing success! Francois Manson, France, 25 solved cases !

Francois made a resolution to solve all our cases this year and he really made it. His family and lovely daughter Valentine seem to be an engine supporting him in his work. Congratulations! Gurcan Erbay, Turkey, 24 solved cases

Gurcan is a radiologist and he has been solving our cases since the year 2004 and he was at the winner's list in the year 2005. This year he repeated his success and managed to solve 24 cases! Debabrata Das, India, 23 solved cases

Debabrata keeps himself in a good condition and after the year 2006 he is at the list of winners again. He works as a radiologist and sonologist in a small city called Coimbatore (South India). This year he managed to solve 23 cases which is an amazing number. Lech Dudarewicz, Poland, 23 solved cases

Lech was at the top position of this competition last year and he still keeps his high standard. The success in this competition is not the only success he achieved this year. He also became a threefold father and he is very proud of his family. Megha Venkatraman, Oman, 23 solved cases

This clever woman from Oman did an admirable job and after her last year's success she is in the winner‘s list again. Congratulations!

 And among the endurance winner we have names that can be found since the beginning of the web site! In particular Fabienne has been wonderfully perseverant in her efforts!
