Case report

Following images show a case of vein of Galen malformation seen at 36 weeks of pregnancy.

Images 1, 2, and 3: 36 weeks of pregnancy; images 1, 2 show transverse scan of the fetal head with dilated vein of Galen (turbulent flow within the vein shows image 2). Image 3 shows four chamber view of dilated fetal heart due to high-output congestive heart failure. There is also a thin layer of pericardial effusion.
