Vein of Galen aneurysm

Case report

Following images and videos show a case of Vein of Galen aneurysm in a dichorionic pregnancy in a woman with unremarkable history.

The pregnancy continued until 37 weeks, and the affected fetus died three days after delivery of heart failure.

Images 1, 2, 3: Axial 2D and color doppler examination of the fetal head and coronal view of the neck showing a dilated vascular structure in the midline of the head compatible with Vein of Galen aneurysm; and dilated internal jugular veins in the neck.
