Case report

The following images show a case of ureterocele detected at 25th week of pregnancy.

Images 1 and 2: 25th week of pregnancy. The images show coronal scans of the fetal abdomen aligned with the urinary bladder. A membrane is clearly visible within the bladder representing ureterocele.

Images 3 and 4: 25th week of pregnancy. the image 3 shows a color Doppler coronal scan of the fetal abdomen aligned with the urinary bladder with the umbilical arteries passing around the urinary bladder. A membrane is clearly visible within the bladder representing ureterocele. The image 4 shows an oblique parasagittal scan of the fetal abdomen showing the ureterocele protruding into the urinary bladder and additionally a dilated left ureter and renal pelvis is visible above the bladder.

Images 5 and 6: 25th week of pregnancy. The images show the dilated left renal pelvis and ureter at the side of the ureterocele.
