Case report

A 25-year-old G1 P0 with non-contributive family or personal history underwent ultrasound scan at 20 weeks of gestataion. The ultrasound revealed a tumor located in the cervical region. The differential diagnosis included cystic hygroma and the amniocentesis was offered to the patient to exclude aneuploidy.
The karyotype was normal, 46 XY. Patient was afterwards referred to our center.

We revealed a bilateral tumor located below the mandible. We were not sure about the origine and type of the tumor but our most likely diagnosis was lymphangioma.

Patient opted for the pregnancy termination. The final diagnosis  based on the pathology report, was isolated submandibular lymphangioma.
