Case report

A 37-year-old woman (G2P1) with non-contributive history was sent to our office at 21 weeks of gestational age. Our examination revealed lumbar spina bifida.

Here are some images that we obtained.

Images 1, 2: 21 weeks of gestational age; Image 1 shows transverse scan of the "lemon shaped" fetal head; Image 2 shows transverse scan of the fetal head at the level of abnormally shaped cerebellum "banana sign".
