Case report
This is a case of a 31-year-old primipara, who came to our department for the ultrasound scan at 14 weeks of gestation. Patient's family and personal histories were unremarkable. She had a virosis in the first trimester, at 7 weeks of gestation.
Our diagnosis based on the ultrasound findings, was semilobar holoprosencephaly. Patient opted for the pregnancy termination based on the unfavorable prognosis for the fetus.
Patient did not wish for pathology examination of the fetus.
