Case report
A 20 years old patient was referred to our formation at 16 weeks of amenorrhea. The morphological ultrasound show a rachischisis totalis associated with an acrania. Rachischisis totalis is  also known as complete spina bifida. It  refers to a severe form of spina bifida where there is a cleft through the entire spine. There is often a severe or complete defect of the neural tube involving the entire spine from the cervical region through to the sacrum.A rachischisis often occurs in association cranial neural tube defects such as:anencephaly, acrania or iniencephaly. A rachischisis is almost always fatal.
