Case report
These are some images of a fetus with posterior urethral valves obtained at 29 and 31 weeks of pregnancy. The examination revealed a distended and thick-walled urinary bladder, oligohydramnios and pelvicaliceal dilatation. An interruption of pregnancy was performed at 34 weeks and the diagnosis of posterior urethral valves confirmed at autopsy.
Images 1, 2: Dilated thick-walled urinary bladder.
