Case report
The following images show a case of 28-year-old woman (G1P0) who was seen in our office at 28 weeks of her pregnancy. Our examination revealed dilated abdomen of the fetus with ascites and abnormal uterocervical complex. Initially we thought about double urinary bladder with urethral obstruction, but after thorough reevaluation of the case our presumed diagnosis is persistent urogenital sinus. The pregnancy was terminated and ambiguous genital of the fetus was found.
As the autopsy was not performed, we just presume the diagnosis of the persistent urogenital sinus (a similar case was published at the fetus.net website as the
case of the week number 114).
Images 1, 2, 3, 4: Enlarged uterocervical complex with dilated urinary bladder.
