Parvovirus B 19

These are two cases of parvovirus B 19 infection during subsequent pregnancies of the same patient.

Case 1: 26-year-old primigravida referred to our hospital in the 19th week of pregnancy for routine ultrasonographic control. We suspected parvovirus B19 infection that was confirmed by amniocentesis. Parents decided for termination of pregnancy. Here are the pictures that we obtained.

Case 2: The same patient returned to our hospital after 7 months after termination of her previous pregnancy. She came at 16th week of following pregnancy with cervical incompetence and progressed signs of abortion. Ultrasonography made before abortion revealed the same pathology as in previous pregnancy. These are the pictures that we obtained.
