Osteogenesis imperfecta type II

Case report

Following images and videos show two cases of osteogenesis imperfecta type II. Case 1 was seen at 15 weeks of gestation; case two was seen at 14 weeks of gestation.

Case 1 (15 weeks of pregnancy):

Image 1, video 1: The image and video show hypomineralization of the fetal skull.

Image 2, video 2: The image and video show hypoplastic chest with deformed ribs of the fetus.

Images 3, 4, 5, and videos 3, 4, 5: The images and videos show fractures of all long bones (femur, tibia, radius), hypomineralization of the bones (note that both cortical parts of the long bones are clearly visible).

Case 2 (14 weeks of pregnancy):

In this case of osteogenesis imperfecta the only remarkable findings were fractures of the fetal femurs.
