Case report
This is a case of a healthy 20-year-old G2 P1 who came for the first ultrasound scan at 22 weeks of gestation. There was a large myelomeningocele located in the lumbosacral region, measuring 60 x 45 mm. The posterior fossa was abnormal, consistent with Arnold Chiari malformation. Fetal movements were normal except of the lower extremities. The urine from the urinary bladder did not seem to evacuate properly. Parents decided for the pregnancy termination after consult with the neurosurgeon.
