This is a 22-year-old-primigravida referred to our unit due to gastroschisis. The nuchal translucency and the triple test were normal. At 15 weeks, the patient performed a scan due to a vaginal bleeding. The radiologist diagnosed a gastroschisis. The patient was sent to our antenatal unit and the diagnosis was confirmed. An amniocentesis was refused. Serial scans were performed at 21, 24, 27 and 29 weeks. The patient delivered at 37 weeks by cesarean section after spontaneous rupture of membranes. The baby weight was 2200g and he was operated immediately after birth.
