These are the pictures of a 39-year-old-primigravida that underwent amniocentesis in her 13th week of pregnancy.  After the procedure, amniotic fluid was lost due to the artificial rupture of the membranes. Subsequently the amniotic fluid volume recovered and stayed normal. Club-foot as a complication of early amniocentesis occurs in 2.75% and rupture of membranes in 1.4% of the cases.
