Erebouni Medical Center, Armenia.

Case report

A 28 year-old patient came to our medical center at 37 weeks of pregnancy for the first time.

We performed a routine ultrasound examination which revealed a thin mobile membrane located in the right atrium compatible with Chiari network.

She gave birth to a healthy girl, 3050 gr and normal Apgar score.

Postnatal  echocardiography confirmed the diagnosis. The baby is now 8 months and she is well.

Videos 1-6: 2D and doppler apical four chamber views of the heart show highly mobile, highly reflective echogenic thin membrane, with a characteristic whip-like motion represent a Chiari network (first described by Dr. Hans Chiari in 1897).
