Case report

The following images show a case of spina bifida with the Chiari malformation type II diagnosed at 20th week of pregnancy.

Images 1 and 2: 20 weeks of pregnancy; transverse scans of the "lemon-shaped" fetal skull. The image 2 shows a "banana-shaped" cerebellum.

Images 3 and 4:  20 weeks of pregnancy; transverse scans of the "lemon-shaped" fetal skull and mild ventriculomegaly (Image 3).

Images 5 and 6:  20 weeks of pregnancy; the image 5 show transverse (left part of the image) and coronal (right side of the image) scans of the fetal lumbar spine with spina bifida. The image 6 shows club foot of the fetus.
