Case report

The following images and videos show an aneurysm of the ductus arteriosus with unusual course seen at 27 weeks of pregnancy, that represents an U shaped pathway (turning toward the midline abutting the right wall of the trachea but not encircling it), behind the ascending aorta and above the right pulmonary artery, then back to join the isthmic portion of the aortic arch. Both arches are on the left side. A previous case showing this unusual pathway of ductus arteriosus was reported by Acherman and his colleagues at 20081. No other cardiac anomalies were detected. Normal male baby was delivered with uneventful postnatal course.
