Case report
We present a case of a 28-year-old woman, with unremarkable history, scanned for the first time at 19th week of gestational age. The sonography revealed acrania (image 1). We could see just a residual brain (images 4, 5). We also suspected a craniorachischisis (image 6), but due to not very convenient sonographic conditions (weight of the patient was 120 kg), the pictures of the spine were of very poor quality. The patient decided for termination of the pregnancy. An amniocentesis was realized just before and karyotype was normal. Here are some images we obtained.
