This is a 30-year-old woman, primigravida, with an amnion rupture. The triple test and the nuchal translucency were normal. The patient was seen in our unit at 22, 25 and 29 weeks. The fetus, the placenta and the amniotic fluid were normal. The amnion was seen just near the mouth. The delivery was normal at 38 weeks. The baby was healthy. The amnion was seen surrounding the umbilical cord. The picture of the placenta at birth showed that the amniotic band was inserted at the base of the umbilical cord.
