Case report
The following images show a case of a 23-year-old woman presented to our unit at 22 weeks of pregnancy. Our ultrasound investigation revealed a polyhydramnios and a hyperechoic part of the left fetal lungs with its own vessel supply arising from the aorta. The heart was dextropositioned. The findings were consistent with the lung sequestration. The parents opted for the continuation of the pregnancy and the neonate was delivered at 40 weeks (girl; Apgar 7, 8). The diagnosis was confirmed and the baby is in good condition and planned to be operated.
Images 1, 2: Color Doppler images showing the sequestrated part of the lungs with its own arterial supply arising directly from the descending aorta.
