This patient was referred to our unit at 22 weeks to confirmed the diagnosis of a a transposition of great arteries made at 21 weeks.  An amniocentesis was performed at 30 weeks and the karyotype was normal with no micro-deletion 22q11.

There was a concordant atrioventricular connection, but discordant ventriculoarterial connection. The aorta was located anteriorly to the pulmonary artery. The aorta originated above the morphologically right ventricle and the pulmonary artery above the morphologically left ventricle. The baby born at 39 weeks and he was promptly operated.  After the surgery, the outcome was good.
