Right sided aortic arch, V-shaped configuration

Case report

Following images show a case of the V-shaped right sided aortic arch diagnosed at 33 weeks. The reason of the V-shape configuration of the right-sided aortic arch is that the ductus arteriosus is right-sided.

Images 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7: 33 weeks; Images show transverse scan of fetal thorax at the level of 3-vessel trachea view with the V-shaped configuration of the pulmonary artery and aorta which runs on the right side of the trachea - right sided aortic arch. (lpa - left branch of the pulmonary artery; pa - pulmonary artery; a - aorta; s - superior vena cava; t - trachea, rvo - right ventricle).
