Hypoplastic right heart with pulmonary hypoplasia and tricuspid atresia

This 34-35 weeks fetus has a hypoplastic right heart with:

  • a pulmonary hypoplasia,

  • a hypoplastic right ventricle and

  • tricuspid atresia

  • a small ventricular septal defect and atrial septal defect.

The patient had a past history of preterm caesarian section for premature rupture of the membranes with a baby that weighed 1800 g and died on 5th day. That first baby had not been evaluated for congenital heart disease.

Aside from the above mentioned cardiac findings there were no other system had anomalies. Within a week of the evaluation, she went into labor and had stillbirth.
