This is a G1,P0 patient scanned at 19 weeks of gestation. The fetus showed bradycardia with a fetal heart rate recording of only 68-70 beats per minute. The M-mode tracing through the atrial and ventricular walls were obtained both separately and simultaneously by placing the cursor line across both. There was dissociation of atrial and ventricular rate. The atrial rate was 120 to 140 per minute and the ventricular rate was 60 to 70 per minute (2:1 second degree heart block).
